We are thrilled to share that Mussel App recently participated in the 7th edition of the Salon Halieutis, held from February 6 to 9, 2025, in Agadir, Morocco. This biennial international event is a premier gathering for professionals in the fishing, seafood processing, and aquaculture sectors, attracting exhibitors and visitors from around the globe.
A Platform for Innovation and Collaboration
The theme for this year’s Salon Halieutis was “Research and innovation for a sustainable fisheries sector,” emphasizing the critical role of technological advancements in promoting sustainability within the industry. With over 50,000 attendees and 512 exhibitors spanning 18,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event provided an unparalleled platform for networking and knowledge exchange.

Mussel App’s Contribution
Our participation underscored Mussel App’s commitment to leveraging data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiencies in shellfish aquaculture. During the conference, our representative delivered a presentation highlighting how innovative tools like Mussel App can optimize production processes, particularly in the context of Morocco’s burgeoning aquaculture sector. Recent data indicates that Morocco’s aquaculture production has grown from 1,267 tonnes in 2018 to 2,310 tonnes in 2022, showcasing the sector’s significant potential.

Engaging with Industry Leaders
The conference’s scale and organisation were impressive, fostering a collaborative environment among regulators, exporters, aquaculture farmers, fishermen, and scientists. We extend our gratitude to the National Agency for Aquaculture Development (ANDA) for the invitation and to individuals like Fatima and Houssam Hamza for their invaluable support and insights.
