As we step into 2026, we’ve been focused on refining Mussel App to better support how you manage, track, and make decisions on your farm.
In December we shipped several updates aimed at improving usability, clarity, and performance across the platform. Each update is designed to make day-to-day farm management more efficient, more reliable, and easier to understand. We hope you’re off to a successful start to the year!
What’s Next
1. Clear Dates in Timesheets
No more guessing which date you’re logging time for. Days in Timesheets now show the actual date next to the day of the week, so you can quickly see exactly when the work was done, especially helpful when entering data a few days later.
2. Mussel App Remembers Your Last Selection
When you add a new entry to a Timesheet day, Mussel App now remembers the last option you selected.
That means:
- No re-selecting the same activity over and over
- Faster data entry
- Less tapping, less frustration
(You can still change it anytime if needed.)
3. Clients Can Now Be Linked Directly to Farms
You can now link a client directly to a farm, making it easier to keep track of who’s connected to what. This helps keep records cleaner and avoids confusion when reviewing work, time, or farm activity later on.
4. Faster Searching in Timesheets
Finding the right farm, line, or vessel just got easier.
In Timesheets, you can now use the search bar to quickly find:
- Farms (by farm number)
- Lines
- Clients
- Vessels
Just start typing and the right option appears instantly.
5. One Line, Multiple Species
You can now assign either oysters or mussels to a single line and change it if your setup changes over time.
This makes it easier to reflect real farm operations without creating extra lines or workarounds in the system.
6. Improved Offline Mode & Sync
Offline mode has been updated and made more reliable.
You can continue recording data without signal, and when your device is back online, simply tap the Sync button on the home screen. Mussel App will securely upload all unsubmitted data.
Less worry, more confidence even in low-coverage areas.
Looking Ahead: Shelly Is Coming
We’re also preparing to roll out Shelly, our virtual assistant for Mussel App.
For farms where manual data entry feels time-consuming or hard to keep up with, Shelly is designed to help.
Shelly supports your operation by:
- Entering line data and daily activities
- Keeping farm and line records up to date
- Reducing the admin load on your team
Think of Shelly as an extra set of hands focused on your data, so you can spend more time on the farm and less time behind a screen.
